Morrow Mountain is a state park in Albemarle, NC. You see North Carolina is weird in the fact that it has two different mountain ranges in it. Morrow Mountain is located within this second mountain range, the Uwharrie Mountains. So it is an actual mountain, just a little one.
So there are lots of different things you can do in the park.
- Hiking
- Horseback riding trails
- On really pretty days you will find motorcyclists that have decided to take a ride to the top of the mountain to hang out and eat lunch.
- A pool
- A museum
- Camping that ranges from backpack camping to cabins.
When my family visits we tend to go hang out at the top of the mountain and take lunch with us and visit the little museum. We have not camped there yet, but it is on our to-do list.
