While I was visiting my brother in Ohio a few years ago, he and his wife took my parents, Jennifer, and me to Hocking Hills State Park. I noticed very quickly that it seemed like a large park made out of a bunch of smaller sections. We only visited two of those sections: Old Man’s Cave and Ash Cave.
Old Man’s Cave
This section of Hocking Hill’s State Park had a picnic area, restrooms, and a walking trail. The small waterfalls we encountered were very pretty, and we got to walk through “Old Man’s Cave”. From what I understand, this cave got ist mane from Richard Rowe, who actually lived in the cave during the 1800s.
Ash Cave
Ash Cave is another section in Hocking Hills State Park. This cave has a small waterfall that reminded me of a shower. This particular cave has a trail leading to it that has been modified to make it more accessible.
Additional areas of Hocking Hills State Park are places like Rock House, Conkles Hollow, and Whispering Cave. Additional Information on the state park, including links to their website and social media accounts, can be found in the tabs below.
